District Engineer

Location Address: QES Pressure Control, 2003 S. Merritt Rd. Elk City, OK 73644

Position Description: District Engineer for Coiled Tubing and related services. The district engineer, in conjunction with the District Manager (DM), oversees the technical aspects of daily coiled tubing operations. This includes but is not limited to tracking of coiled tubing fatigue, coiled tubing pipe management, pre-job planning, & post-job analysis. The district engineer will also assist in tracking of jobs, type of jobs, revenue, & cost in conjunction with the DM and the sales team as it relates to corporate KPIs. The district engineer reports daily to the DM but also reports to (and works in conjunction with) the Manager of Operations Engineering. This position will also support the snubbing, fluid pumping and nitrogen service lines in application, pre-job calculations as required, and tracking KPI's.

Skills Required: The position requires working knowledge of coiled tubing operations, equipment, and applications. Working knowledge of the Cerberus software suite from NOV is preferred with a minimum of 6 months experience using the software on a daily basis. Good general computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is also required.

Skills Preferred: 1+ years' experience with Cerberus

Experience Required: 1+ years' experience working as a CT Engineer

Experience Preferred: 2+ years' experience as a CT Engineer. Experience in any capacity of working on a coiled tubing unit (ground hand/operator/supervisor). Extensive knowledge in CT design/application.

Education Strongly Preferred: Bachelor of Science in an engineering field (i.e. Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering)

In lieu of the BS, additional consideration will be given if years of experience is extensive and the candidate can demonstrate working knowledge of CT, CT modeling, Fatigue Tracking, CT design, and CT Application and has good references.

Position Requirements: Candidate must live in the Elk City area (or is willing to relocate) and live within a reasonable distance to allow reporting to the office in Elk City on a daily basis. This position is not rotational. 

Working Environment

Primarily well site locations with uneven, slippery, muddy, wet surfaces. 

Travel Requirements
Up to and possibly exceeding 25%.

Must have a good driving history.
