Essential Job Functions

  • Coordinates and directs the activities of service members during the rigging up and down of service line equipment on location and the assembly and preparation of equipment for installation, running, and service of a job.
  • Supervises all coil tubing operations at the job site.
  • Supervises all QESPC personnel assigned to the job site.
  • Has developed an exceptional skill set within the service line and firm understanding of other service functions.
  • Operates all coil tubing units and associated equipment without supervision.
  • Conducts the pre-job and post-job inspections and testing of the coiled tubing units, nitrogen units, fluid pumps and other ancillary equipment by completing pre and post job inspections.
  • Monitors, inspects and adjusts all major equipment during operations to ensure the equipment's adequate operation, such adjusting pump and injection rates.
  • Trains operators and assistants in equipment operations and procedures.
  • Delegates certain job tasks during job operation.
  • Writes accurate job tickets, daily logs, pre and post job reports, JSA's and other documentation as required.
  • Ensures JSA's are a regular part of each job.
  • Possesses an understanding of district goals and works towards meeting those objectives.
  • Re-enforces the Stop work authority with all employees.
  • All other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills


Education Requirements (Minimum and Preferred)

 High school diploma/G.E.D or equivalent


Experience (Minimum and Preferred)

Minimum of 5 years related experience in coiled tubing operations including experience in supervision of the delivery of services.


Licenses, Certifications, Credentials (Minimum and Preferred)

Valid Driver's License, Class A CDL preferred, with hazardous material endorsement


Skill Sets/Competency (i.e., Computer, Communication, Leadership)

  • Advanced computer skills are preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Office.
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situation.
  • Have the ability to write and interpret routine reports.
  • Must be able to work as an effective team member.



Work Hours/Overtime

Ability to work a varied schedule, with the possibility of a 24 hour on call schedule.

Combination, but primarily Field.


Travel (i.e., Negligible, 20%, 50%, Significant)
