This position is located in Oklahoma City

Position Summary

Responsible for all payroll related functions to include processing payroll, maintaining employee data, handling payroll questions and completing any other tasks necessary for monitoring company's payroll process.


Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for all payroll review and submission.
  • Ensure that all payroll related earnings and deductions are properly applied.
  • Responsible for coordination between Human Resources and payroll for employee related issues.
  • Responsible for distribution of payroll information in a confidential manner.
  • Responsible for ensuring that benefits and garnishments are properly processed, withheld and paid.
  • Execute all assigned policies and procedures pertaining to payroll administration and processing.
  • Resolve salary and pay discrepancies.
  • Review time and attendance and work with the District admins to ensure its accuracy.
  • Keep all district payroll import sheets current with employee information.
  • Audit entries made by Human Resources in the payroll system.
  • Perform employment verifications. 
  • Provide various payroll reports as requested.
  • Update and maintain all payroll records.
  • All other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications and Skills

Education Requirements (Minimum and Preferred)

  • Minimum:    High School or Equivalent      
  • Preferred:    Associates or Bachelor's Degree

Professional Experience

  • 3-5 years' experience in payroll processing.
  • Knowledge and understanding of all facets of payroll principles, methods, systems and procedures as applied to a public company.

Skill Sets

  • Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
  • Knowledge of the payroll aspects of employee benefits policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve payroll problems.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Above average skill with MS Excel and related payroll system applications.

Work Hours

  • 8am-5pm
