Position Summary

This job is located in Oakley, Kansas. 

Supervise and coordinate all field operations activities.

Reporting Line

The Cement Supervisor reports to the District Manager.
The Cement Supervisor will supervise all cement equipment operators.

This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation regulations and, as such, strict compliance with the Company's drug and alcohol policy and the DOT regulations relating to the same is an essential job function and no exception will be made regardless of state law.

  • Enforce safety regulations.
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of all cement field operations.  Provide guidance when hooking up and removal of service equipment to wellhead.
  • Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports, in order to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
  • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
  • Plan and establish work schedules, assignments.
  • Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
  • Demonstrate equipment operations and safety procedures to new employees, or assign employees to experienced workers for training.
  • Observe work, and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.
  • Interpret specifications, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.
  • Maintain operations data such as time, operation, and cost records, and prepare management reports of operating results.
  • Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, operations quality, or efficiency.
  • Determine standards budgets, operations goals, and rates, based on company policies, equipment and labor availability, and workloads.
  • Requisition materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services.
  • Set up and adjust machines and equipment.
  • Calculate labor and equipment requirements and operation specifications, using standard formulas.
  • Plan and develop new products and operation processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

Education Requirements

Minimum:  High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Experience

Minimum:  Two to Four years related experience

Licenses, Certifications, Credentials

Minimum:  Class B CDL with required endorsements
Preferred:  Class A CDL with required endorsements

Work Hours / Overtime

Minimum:  8 hours per day, overtime as necessary

Work Environment / Location

Work outdoors at well site locations with uneven, slippery, muddy, wet surfaces.  At times in shop doing general maintenance.

Travel
